You Ask , We Answer

We help businesses with engineering products and find solutions to their problems and processes. All to make them more environmentally friendly. And in the process save them revenue.

Like all companies, we get many enquiries.  And we get many questions too.

On this page we address:

  • frequently asked question from customers,
  • lessons learnt (discovered after the project ended), and
  • case studies.

Cost and revenue

How do our services help companies save revenue?

Here are two key areas where your company will save revenue, engineering and processes.

Engineering products that are environmentally friendly throughout their lifecycle. From the product design specification, through to decommissioning and recycling.

The design of the product or machine is the first area where one should save revenue. Linked to processes and procedures, it is your company's responsibility to improve them.

Your company should develop over time, so that designs cost you less money to realise the product. There are several areas that can be addressed in engineering and designing of new products.

Be sure that the product requirements for the product is in detail and complete. Having a thorough exercise in drawing up to requirements will save you in the long—run. As incomplete requirements will deliver products that are not fit for the purpose. As there is a risk of redesigning.

The design of the product can start with concise requirements. During which new concepts will evolved. These new concepts are risks in your programme. As you or the designer will not have any proof whether it will work or not.

You should have warranty data, if your company designs and manufactures products. Warranty data, i.e. product failures, failure costs, and so on. Thus, your company's attention is always drawn to the failing parts. So one does not notice the parts and components and products that do not cause you problems and loss of revenue. But you do have good performers.

Now, you know which designs and products do not cost you money. Thus, concepts from these ‘good designs' should be used in your new products. All because over the years in the field, they have proven to be reliable and low cost. So, avoid new unproven concepts wherever you can.

If you cannot, and you must use a new concept, be sure to design an experiment to test the new concept. That aligns with the FMEA and the DVP. If one cannot draw up an experiment or test that you cannot perform, change the design.

Over the last 35 years, we have found that companies design products without looking forward. Design new concepts without addressing how they are going to test them. And what equipment they would need when tested.

For example, to confirm that a concept works, you want an error of 10% greatest. Yet, the testing facility that you have available, is not that accurate. Hence, you now have designed something with high risk, as you are unable to verify it. Which could cost you the project.

So, through engineering and processes, you can avoid risk and option that could cost you revenue. But, you can use past designs and systems that have proven reliability. And will not cost you revenue. But save!

When the surveyors monitored the excavation of the channel tunnel, they monitored their progress. By referencing points on land. So they tunnelled in the set direction by aligning points behind them. They knew from where they came, thus knowing where they are going.

Your company can do the same. Look what products and concepts were/are reliable. That generated revenue, those that didn’t. Select the winner. And re-use those concepts.

What is the cost of our services?

Our goal is to protect and improve the environment, and for the people that live and work in it.

We have an approach that utilised efficiency, adds value and mostly eliminates waste. Consequently, making your company more efficient in the way it operates.

Consequently reducing cost, and increasing your profit margin. So that you and your company save revenue. Whatever we suggest, shall be more efficient, and you shall benefit financially. If we cannot improve your processes or help with engineering environmentally friendly products, you will not charge you. As simple as that.

We always find the most effective solution, that will save you time, resources and energy. From design, through to sales.

We do not charge everybody the same price. We consider the size of your company, and the possible revenue increase through implementing our improvement measures. Therefore, smaller companies will be charged less, and our charge is related to environmental and financial performance improvement.

Is being environmentally friendly and saving revenue like a chicken and egg scenario?

No. Once you are more environmentally aware or friendly, you shall save money. We have proven it. That's why we are offering you that opportunity.

About our services

Are we the best in our field?

There are many consulting engineering companies in the UK and around the world that could help you. And we are one of those companies.

We strive for an improvement to the current natural environment. We find ways in which humanity, machines and the environment can exist in harmony. And we do that by addressing four entities: the environment, humanity, machinery, equipment and products, and process.

Be certain, with 35 years' experience of improving products, making them operate resiliently and reliably in their immediate environment, is now harnessed to improve products and processes to blend in with the environment, to improve the environment.

We are passionate about helping anyone to make their company more environmentally friendly, and consequently increase their profit margin.

We already have broad engineering and management experience. Tomorrow, we will have more. And so we will grow.

We are here for you.

It looks like you do a bit of everything?

At first glance, yes.

But when you look closer, it's mechanical engineering with a bias towards noise and vibration, and how they relate And process and operations management. So in total, two areas (that will create great cross seminal papers). As we focus on both to improve designs as well as processes and operations.

Isn't what you would expect from an engineering consultantcy with 35 years' experience?

So, how are our services environmentally friendly/aware?

By moving away from products or concepts that fail testing, you are using concepts that work, and therefore ’no surprises’. Therefore, no failed parts, no time wasted on testing, no going around in circles, no material lost.

Less energy, less pollution. Therefore adding value with every step. You now have an efficient approach, and through efficiency, you are also more environmentally friendly.
