Case Study: Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) BS4142 noise assessment and report

Introduction

The Milton Keynes Council requested a BS4142 noise assessment and report for a planning application for an air source heat pump (ASHP) at a community hall in Water Eaton, Bletchley.

BS4142 noise assessment report

The council requested a BS4142 noise assessment at this location because of the proximity of residential dwellings.

Planning permission

To have planning permission granted, the specific noise of the ASHP must be equal or below the background sound level at 1 metre from the NSR.
